About Us

Gary Ifland & Associates, Inc. was formed in 1999 after a merger between Advanced Geomatics and the survey operations at Ifland Engineers, Inc. These 2 companies had been providing surveying services in Santa Cruz since 1962 and GPS services statewide since 1995.

Gary Ifland, President - LS 7367, provides the responsible management of all of the firm's surveying operations. Gary's experience in civil engineering and land surveying includes work on over 1500 projects since 1986.

Marden Hiett, Vice President is a Trimble certified GPS technician.  Mardy performs the majority of GPS surveying for the firm and has a background in aviation and military service.

Gregory Jones, Project Manager- RCE 61691, is a Registered Civil Engineer with a surveying background. Greg manages many of our projects and performs both field and office surveying duties.

Our technical staff includes experienced survey and CAD technicians that are ready to meet the needs of our clients.
